At Telehealth Counselling Australia, Michelle combines lived experience, professional expertise, and genuine empathy to create a safe and supportive space where healing and growth can begin, wherever you are in Australia.
Michelle is a Certified Practising Counsellor and qualified Rehabilitation Counsellor dedicated to helping people overcome life’s challenges and rediscover their sense of wellbeing. As the founder of Telehealth Counselling Australia, she provides professional, compassionate, and accessible online counselling to individuals, youth, and NDIS participants across Australia.
Michelle brings with her a lifetime of lived experience, as she has faced challenges of living with a chronic physical disability. She has learned the value of compassion, understanding and listening, to deepen relationships with people, as she understands the power of a person’s voice and of being heard. Michelle opens her heart to anyone who has faced adversity within their lives, whether at work, with family or relationships, or through medical trauma and disability. She understands that life is made up of challenges and obstacles, and that although we all feel alone at times, there are people who understand and want to help. You do not have to face life’s transitions and challenges alone, whether it’s leaving the hospital after surgery, relocating due to university study or a new job, or simply just wanting to talk to someone in a safe, private and caring space, Michelle is here to listen, willing to hear your story, and to walk alongside you throughout your journey
Before becoming a counsellor, Michelle spent many years in education, supporting young people and their families through their educational journey, career pathways, and personal growth. This experience deepened her understanding of human emotion, positive behaviour support (PBS) management techniques, and the importance of communication as a healing tool.
Michelle’s counselling approach is warm, client-centred, and grounded in evidence-based practice, including therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Michelle creates a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients can navigate barriers to identify goals, build confidence, and develop practical strategies for growth and change.
Throughout the counselling process, clients can identify tools and techniques that can assist during times of stress, anxiety, or depression in their lives, whether at work, in family situations or in their social environments.
Through Telehealth, Michelle makes counselling more accessible for people in rural and remote areas, or for anyone who prefers the comfort and privacy of connecting from home, work, or medical facilities. Counselling sessions are delivered securely through trusted online platforms, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

My Story
“I’ve learned through my own life and through the people I’ve worked with that healing and change are always possible. Sometimes we just need the right support to see it.
Living with a physical disability has shaped how I understand resilience, patience, and what it means to keep going when life feels hard. I know what it’s like to face barriers and to wonder if things will ever get easier. That experience is what led me to counselling – to help others find strength and clarity when life feels uncertain.
My goal is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can be heard without judgment, explore what’s been holding you back, and begin to rebuild at your own pace. I believe that every person has the ability to grow and move forward, even when it doesn’t feel that way yet.
Counselling isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about finding them together.”
